Fort Belvoir Primary is more than just a place of learning. Our school is incredibly unique as we get to teach the “children of the world.” They come to us from many different walks of life. It requires a certain level of care to help them acclimate to their new homes. We strive to ensure our students feel safe, supported, and encouraged. Our staff at Fort Belvoir Primary are open-minded, compassionate, and enthusiastic. These are the bonds that tie us. We are resilient, we are family. It’s such a pleasure working here.
Laquanya Hollis, 1st Grade Teacher
I love working at Fort Belvoir Primary for one big reason: the kids. Those tiny humans that I see everyday are hilarious, resilient, hard working, kind, and welcoming. Each of them are so special and make up the heart of our school. It's truly never a boring day being a Dolphin!
Ellie Quattlebaum, PE Teacher
I appreciate that we are a community of readers - Not only are our students swapping book ideas, but so our are teachers!
Jennifer Kalleta, Librarian
I love working at Fort Belvoir Primary because everyone is so welcoming! I enjoy coming to work each day to see all the students and my fabulous teammates. Collaboration is priority here at Fort Belvoir Primary and that is so important to me! All 3 of my children also attend our school and are receiving a top notch education.
Brittany Hooper, 2nd Grade Teacher
Fort Belvoir is not just a school, it's a second home. In 2017, I made a life changing decision to move halfway down the east coast and join the dolphin family. This community has allowed me to grow, offered a variety of positions, and always supported my development. I not only learned an abundance from my colleagues, but from my students as well. Fort Belvoir creates a great sense of belonging and will always be a special place.
